Cathilyn Kehulani Ward, LMT, HHP

Picture
I believe that the body has the ability and will to heal itself however, on occasion needs guidance.  I see myself as a sculptor, with each stroke the intention is to move the muscle and soft tissues in your body back to where they belong,  thus returning balance to the body, mind and soul .  I  have studied and continue to study and practice several healing modalities with a special focus on the Hawaiian healing art form of Lomilomi, other modalities include Cranio Sacral, Deep Tissue, Geriatric massage, Hapai (pregnancy) massage, and  infant massage. I am also attuned to Reiki in the 2nd degree.  (MAT 15226)

Kyra's career as a Massage Therapist started in 2012, working primarily in Windward, Oahu. Her focus is to enhance core energy to relieve stress and pain, using invigorating yet soothing  massage techniques.  Kyra uses a blend of modalities including; swedish, lomilomi, reiki, deep tissue, aromatherapy, and hot stones.  Kyra was led to massage at the young age of 8, as she grew up massage seemed to follow. Intrigued by the admirable and altruistic ways the power of touch connects people with each other and to themselves, guides Kyra to continue the path of massage. As an open-minded and reserve free spirit, I view life as an endless series of idealistic possibilities- forever being a student of life.  (MAT 12986)

My life has always lead me towards healing since a young age massaging my mother’s head as a child and crying with her as she suffered through cluster migraines that no medications could eliminate. In the deep empathy and a feeling of helplessness and longing to aid her. I began massaging her head and could intuitively feel her pain. That is where my gift of healing hands was given to me. With gratitude I was able to help my mother heal. She told me it was one of my gifts in this life and encouraged me to develop it professionally. I have been Massaging professionally with over 20                                            years experience . I have worked in Canada, L.A. and now Hawaii. My specialties are Deep Tissue, Relaxation, Swedish                                              and Thai Massage and EIP. I am born to do this work and my intention and deepest joy in life is to help uplift, heal from                                           pain and facilitate people on how to be free from old stress that has accumulated in the body. I have worked in several                                                spas throughout Canada and have been a Massage Therapist on film sets for the crew and actors.
